ice and salt are a bad combination.

just trust me on this one guys. ice and salt are bad. bbuuttt that was today, i'll have to get there(:

monday.

I really don't think i did anything exciting on monday, whatsoever. i did get home to a HUGE stack of college mail. and that annoys me and stresses me out. like a lot. dear colleges: i'm going to BYU, quit cutting down trees and taking space in my email.

...and i had to work. aanndd i didn't write my history paper which i greatly regretted on tuesday...

tuesday.

tuesday, tuesday, tuesday... mutual was pretty fun... we played a mormon version of taboo(:

then i had to write my AP history paper, which, my dear friends, should not be left until nine pm the day before it's due...

wednesday.

seminary,
carmel popcorn.
my seminary teacher > your seminary teacher.
just sayin.

then... after school i had a BIONIC meeting, then we went and fed ducks(:

seriously, people complain about how boring montrose is and how there is noting to do... yeah, they're totally wrong. we find PLENTY of stuff to do, like, we don't get bored. people need to get more creative.

...and the ducks started chasing us... and it was scary (even though they just waddle, they can't exactly run).

thursday.

during access we had this leadership meeting thing... it was, well, very informative. so, us FCCLA girls, have officially decided on our project for this year... ssshhhhh, that'll be a different post.

during open hour kelsey, sam and i went to Qdoba, cuz we're cool like that

thursday night we all went to kelly's house to start planning our project, then, when i got home (at like ten) i started my AP english paper. bad idea. i was so tired. bbuut i finished it, and i'm not gonna lie, i'm a little bit proud of it(:

Friday.

i had to work till eight, but then Katie, Alisha, Mikelle and I went to Denny's (at like ten, don't judge.)

the milkshakes were, ummm, how you say... delicious.

i tried to win a stuffed obamas head... but i didn't :(

then, Erik, Mikelle, Katie, and I went and watched the stars for like two hours and talked. and it was just grand(:

saturday.

WE PLAYED CROQUET. yes, it's true (although we got bored of playing the proper way after like 10 minutes)

-with Kyle, Sam, Mikelle, and Katie

it was soooo awesome. yeah, i've officially played croquet. no big deal or anything (just kidding, it's awesome. and you should be jealous probably.)

then we had root beer floats at my house and it was just dandy(:

tthheenn, katie and i each ate a spoonful of tabasco sauce just to say we had.... BAD IDEA. my mouth burned for at least 30 minutes after. and i drank like five cups of milk. yeah, not so smart.

then, we being so smart and already having burned mouths, we decided to burn our skin too, with the SALT AND ICE CHALLENGE!!

so, you put salt in your hand, then an ice cube, and you have to keep it there for 60 seconds... not too hard right? wrong. it's so cold it starts burning your skin. not good i tell you, not good.

so this video cuts off the beginning and end... sorry :( it was even funnier if you were there though, sooo hilarious.

it seems like we're just insane, but it hurts soooo bad. like, i feel like i was pretty calm for how cold it was.
it's cold enough that it freezes your skin in the shape of the ice cube.

and your hand is cold for like five minutes afterward...
yeeaahh, i guess my friends and i are a bit weird. but i love them(: and i don't know what i'd do without them, and...
well,,,
ice is bad.

yep(:

the end

travel.

so, lately (ok, for the last 6 months... but especially the last few days) the only thing i can think about is being able to see the world. that's all i want. to see places i've never seen, and meet people that are unique. that's all i want, ok?

homecoming week (part two).

wednesday (night).

powderpuff volleyball... strange, i tell you, very strange.

thursday.

homecoming spirit week: tie die day (i don't have any pictures, sorry!)

soo... i went to school, and during first hour, sam and i decided that we wanted to make legit shirts for spirit day on friday and for the game... welllll, during fifth hour (it was a block day, so classes are an hour and a half), Sam, Kelsey, and I went to wal-mart and got 2 dollar craft shirts and cloth paint, and we made shirts, in the senior parking lot, dancin to our music. it was just dandyriffic(:

after school,
Kelly, Sam, and I had an appointment to get our eyebrows waxed. and let me tell you, i needed it. unfortunantly, my skin turned red and stayed that way all night. sam laughed at me and took a picture (you gotta love best friends, right??):

i went to a college fair. here's my little rant of this post.
DEAR WORLD (particularly all the colleges.. okay, all but one that was there) HUMANITIES AND HISTORY ARE VERY DIFFERENT THINGS. so, when i ask if you have a humanities major, DO NOT tell me that you have a history major instead. no.

after the college fair, Sam, Kelsey, and Kelly came over to my house to finish our legit shirts(:

friday.

homecoming spirit week: SPIRIT DAY!

in seminary we played an awesome game where we had to look up scriptures then shoot the nerf gun... it was fantastic(:

and we all wore our awesome shirts!

it was, well, fantastic(:

friday night was the homecmoing game! (not to spoil it, but we lost 19-20, it was a great game though!)

HOMECOMING ROYALTY...

so, let me introduce you, my dear blog, to AJ. AJ is my awesome friends/guitar teacher... he also is in choir with me, AND my dear blog, he was HOMECOMING KING!!!
and he soo deserved it!

oh, and he's in band too. and he has his own CD. and he basically rocks. the end.

saturday.

i woke up (quite late actually), cleaned my dad's office, my room, did a bit of homework... theeenn...

went to kelly house to get ready for the...

homecoming dance!

once i got there, and realized we still had like 6 hours to the dance, i basically just sat on her bed and watched her curl cailtin's hair. sam, kelsey, sloan, kym, and shelby were all there getting ready too(:
let me say, this was the most fun i've ever had getting ready for a dance. ever. it was really calm, no one was stressed or tired, and it was amazing. not to mention, madeline (kelly's mom) and shannon made AMAZING snacks!!

this, my dear blog, is caitlins hair 2 hours of curling:

oh, how i wish i had that hair! then kelly put it up into this beautiful updo. i mean beautiful. seriously!

and kelly, well, she put all these adorable flowers in her hair:

and kelsey did my hair(: and it was AMAZING!! cuz kelsey's cool like that

sam and kym had to leave early (because they had dates) so it was just kelly, kelsey, and i left, and we ate this wonderful dinner that madeline had made. it was absolutely amazing!

and this is what we looked like when we went to the dance:

then we went to the dance!

so, overall, this was, hand down, the best school dance experience i've ever had. (i just don't think anything can be the FCCLA gala). why? because my best friends and i just got ready together and went to the dance and didn't care about anything. it was absolutely amazing. also, our dresses looked like our personalities (or wanna be personalities in my case... i'm too poor to always go vintage, and the lipstick drove me insane so i just don't think i could do that everyday) and, it was, amazing. i don't know how else to describe it. AND the dance was supppeerr fun too(:

after the dance we went to Denny's then spent the night at kelly's house. needless to say, i am sooo tired. i fell asleep on the floor while we were webchatting with my siblings. like, i'm going to bed in like 30 minutes.

sunday.

i had a lesson in young women's about dating. first, i should mention i'm the only laurel basically, so it was me and three leaders... but... there were cute handouts so it all turned out ok(:

yepp... that's been my wonderful, fantastic homecoming week(:

Sincerely,
Erica Michelle

and i'm wayy too tired to go through and re-read this post, so please ignore any typos(:

my friends are better than your friends.

no offense of course... but it's true. just sayin. why? because my friends are AWESOME. like, that's an understatement.

saturday.
Danielle was here, (like i said), so i had a little photography shoot with my little neice and nephew because, ya know, i'm in photography and needed to take pictures of them... sadly, like 5 actually turned out well. but oh well(: it was still fun!

 Evan!

THHEENN... saturday night i went to a birthday party... that's right folks, Mikelle is 16! aanndd, we went to Wal-Mart. because that's what we do. and it was hilarious. we found some strange things:

Then, i came home and watched Hunger Games... yeppp.

sunday.
sunday, was,... how you say... a rough day. i played violin in church, and let's just say that i should probably begin practicing before an hour till church... i didn't work out so well, and i cried, and laudydaudydah...

monday.

 homecoming spirit week: pajama day!

this, my folks, is when i officially hit rock bottom. not like the, i hate my life, i'm sad, kinda rock bottom, but "i don't care what anyone thinks of me, i'm going to do whatever i want" rock bottom. and that is why i wore my 2 dollar, 3 years old, old man, black sweats with holes in them. they're my favorite article of clothing i own, but i've never worn them in public before because they are truly the extent of ugly sweats. but, i don't care. 100% anymore. and it feels amazing(:

we made shirts for tuesday(:

monday night was...
POWDERPUFF FOOTBALL!!!
*note: i can't play football to save my life... but it was fun anyways, and i got to play twice(:

game: seniors vs. sophomores

score: 23-12

yeppp(:

and i left my phone with these girls (who were AMAZING and came to watch!)
and they took like 1092384710958 pictures, it was pretty entertaining looking through my phone afterward!

tuesday.

homecoming spirit week: tank top day!

sooo... we had made shirts that said "this shirt is a tank top" cuz, you know, i'm like mormon, and i don't wear tank tops. i thought it was clever(:

it rained. it was amazing. i looovvee the rain, aanndd colorado really needs it.

Kelly, Katie, Sam, and I went to the board meeting to get recognized for FCCLA nationals(:

then, i went to mutual, which was great fun(:

James! (this boy turned 16 today... holy cow!!)
and after, i went tie shipping with these guys to help them get ties... also, great fun!

wednesday.

we had orange julius in seminary(: it was absolutely AMAZING!

homecoming spirit week: twin day!

 yep, we're cool like that(:

then after school, katie, sam, and i drove around on adventures (you know, dollar store, crazy music, the works) then went to the homecoming parade... sam and i were even twins for the parade(:

and yep... that's been my week so far(: it's been amazing, and let's face it... i have the most amazing friends in the entire world!!! like. legit. it's true. now, i'm headed to powderpuff volleyball(:

Sincerely,
Erica Michelle
